Our Company
Ndè Nàowò Environmental Ltd is an Indigenous-owned environmental services company based in Behchokǫ̀, Northwest Territories — the heart of Tłı̨chǫ territory. Established as a joint venture between Tlohmbaa Development Corporation and Ecofor Consulting Ltd, we bring together Indigenous land stewardship traditions with rigorous environmental science.
"Ndè Nàowò" comes from the Tłı̨chǫ language and reflects our deep connection to the land we work on and protect. Our name carries the responsibility we feel toward the ecosystems, communities, and future generations that depend on sound environmental management.
From environmental assessment and wildlife management to forest stewardship and contaminated site remediation, we deliver the full spectrum of environmental services that northern resource development demands — guided always by the knowledge of those who have lived on this land for thousands of years.
Leadership & Capacity
Our combined team consists of over 80 professionals, field technicians, and support staff — including registered professional foresters, biologists, geoscientists, and environmental scientists with decades of experience working in northern Canada.
This figure represents the combined capacity of our joint venture partners. Ndè Nàowò draws on the full personnel and equipment resources of both Tlohmbaa Development Corporation and Ecofor Consulting Ltd, scaling project teams to match the scope and complexity of each engagement.
Our people know the land because they live here. Many of our field staff are Tłı̨chǫ citizens who grew up on the land they now help manage and protect. This local expertise, combined with nationally recognized scientific credentials, gives our clients unmatched depth of understanding.
